Your mental wellbeing stems down to how you deal with emotions, how you react to stressful situations and how you look at life in general.
No matter who you are and what your situation, it is imperative that you take a few moments out of every day to make time for yourself. This will make for a happier and more resilient YOU.
If you are unsure as to where to start, below are a few ideas to get you started on the right track.
Leanne & Fitness Tips Say:
Strong mental wellbeing helps us face hardship and tough times, and a few simple changes to our daily routine can be the key to mental resilience in the face of adversity.
- Try Something New Each Week. Give yourself the challenge of trying one new thing every week. This could be a recipe, a new hobby or a new form of exercise.
- Grow Your Own Fruit and Vegetables. Growing your own produce is a wonderful way to get your daily fruit and vegetable intake as well as save money and enjoy the ‘fruits’ of your labour.
- Stay in the Present. No matter what is going on around us, in our suburb, state, country, or the world, it is so very important to remain in the present. Be mindful not to worry too much about the future and try not to dwell on the past. Fill your mind with positive thoughts and keep yourself busy.
- Schedule Regular Face-Time Chats. With the current state of the world being somewhat uncertain and families and friends finding themselves separated unwillingly, we can find solace in the fact that we are lucky enough in this day and age to have the internet, which allows us to face-time our loved ones. This can be extremely helpful to the older generation who may be feeling isolated and lonely. A quick face to face chat each week is something to look forward to and important for a healthy mindset.
